We were so excited for our Memorial Weekend trip to Idaho this year! Just to get away was so nice. We left early Saturday morning, went to breakfast and got to the hotel by early afternoon. We checked into the hotel and then figured out what we were going to do first. We ended up packing a lunch and met at the park to eat. The kids got to play on the playground nearby and enjoyed playing with their cousins. After the park, we went back to the hotel and we did a little swimming with the boys. All the boys could talk about the WHOLE time was swimming. That is all they wanted to do was SWIM! Cameron still wants to go back to Idaho for his birthday so he can swim in the hotel. I guess I really should take my kids swimming more often. Lucky for them, I enrolled them in swimming lessons in July. After some swimming we all went out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. After dinner, we went back to the hotel for more swimming and relaxing in the hotel rooms. My dad decided to get a bloody nose once back at the hotel so my mom took him to the ER. They didn't find out what was causing the bloody nose but found out he had broncitis. He had NEVER had a bloody nose before so it was kind of scary.
Sunday we had continental breakfast and then hung out for awhile. We met extended family at the cemetary to visit family graves. After the cemetary we went back to the hotel and fixed some lunch while extended family went out for pizza. Kent took my boys swimming again while others took a nap. We went out for dinner at Sizzler and then back to the hotel again for more swimming. It was a lot of fun to watch the kids get more brave in the water. After swimming we went back up to the room to relax and go to bed. At 1:00 Monday morning I woke up to the sound of gurgling. Austin was throwing up in his sleep. It was a little scary. I got up and rolled him over and tried to get him in the shower while Kent went down to see if we could get some help changing the bed and cleaning things up. We got back to sleep about a half an hour later.
Monday morning we had continental breakfast again, said good-bye to extended family that we haven't seen in years, and then took off for Preston, ID. We made a quick stop at the cemetary in Preston to put flowers on family graves. It was raining (most of the weekend) so we didn't stay long. We stopped for lunch at Arctic Circle in Logan as is usual tradition. Once back home in Salt Lake we went to David's grave in Murray Cemetary. It was there that Kent and I and our boys left for home. Austin was having a bit of a hard day. The rest of the fam went on to the "Haws" family graves in Sandy, UT.
We had a great time and can't wait until next year. I personally look forward to this little bit of fun every year. I've gone as long as I can remember!!
I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked but here are a few.....most of them are swimming pics!

So cute! It was a fun weekend!
I am so glad that you got to go spend time with your family and had time away. I love all the pictures of the boys swimming. You will have to bring them in so they can swim with us.
