A wise tortoise stuck in the sand looking for easter eggs while near by race cars bring music to my ears.....

I know I should blog more often but I never seem to find the time anymore. I wanted to post on Easter but never got around to it so now I'm doing it....Things have been a little crazy around our house with work, school, sickness, and well......just life. Since Benjamin's birthday in March and my last post we have had Easter, General Conference, play time, pine wood derby and a piano recital. I thought I'd post a few pics of what we've been doing......

First......Easter. Saturday we went to my moms to color 3 dozen Easter eggs.

Easter morning we got up bright and early to do Easter baskets. Afterwards, we dropped Cameron and Ben off at grandma & grandpa's while Austin, Kent and I went to the Sunday morning session of Conference at the Conference Center. It was a first for us and a really neat experience. Austin was disappointed that he couldn't go talk to President Monson.

We took the kids over to the sand pit at our church one day. Ben thought it would be cute to stick his head in the hole we dug.......silly boy!

Another day we went to visit my friend Jamie who had just had surgery. She has a pet tortoise that the boys loved. Here are all 3 sneaking up on Tortie. He wouldn't come out of his shell at first so once he did they didn't want to scare him.

This last Tuesday was Austin's pine wood derby for scouts. We've been working on his car for a couple of weeks. He wanted it patterned after his favorite Nascar racer, Jimmy Johnson. His car took 3rd place and he won "Future Nascar Champion".

Tonight was Austin and I's Spring Piano Recital. My neice, Jessica also played. Here is a pic of Austin playing and a video of him playing. I also have video of me playing but the file is too large to attach so if you want to hear it...let me know...I'll email it.
