1st day of school!!

Today was the 1st day of school for Austin and Cameron. They were both REALLY excited. I think Austin had a little anxiety but for the most part was excited. Cameron's only comment when I told him he would be staying ALL day was, "But mom, I might fall asleep." I hope not. I had them in bed early last night....it wasn't my fault they wouldn't go to sleep. LOL. I'm excited and nervous for this school year but hope they both do well. We met their teachers last night and they all seem to be good teachers. Can't wait until they get home now so I can find out all the 1st day of school details!!

The last pic is of Benjamin enjoying the game boy all to HIMSELF! He was a little upset that his brothers were gone when he got up this morning but he seems to be doing just fine now. He's looking forward to his own "SCHOOL" with mommy (hoping to start doing some preschool worksheets with him). He's also looking forward to playing with whatever toys he wants to, watching what he wants to on tv, and playing what games he wants to while he brothers are gone. He's not spoiled or anything. :)

Enjoy!

My craft projects!

I'm participating in a Farmer's Market this fall. I've been busy making some things to sell at it. Since I won't be returning to work this school year, I've been trying to think of fun things to make and sell. Here a few of the things I've made so far. I have a ton of other ideas as well that I'll be doing. I'm excited to try pillow case dresses, trick-or treat bags, hooded bath towels, etc. It's so fun to see things as they come together!

Romantic Get-a-way!

August 6th was Kent and I's 11th wedding anniversary. The evening of our anniversary we went out to dinner and had a nice time enjoying each other's company. On Sunday, Kent arranged for his mom to watch our kids over night while he took me on a quick get-a-way! He took me to the Homestead. I've never been there but I LOVE Midway!!

Here is an awful pic of me holding on to the frogs eye...(don't ask me why). But we thought it would be a cute pic of us.

We stayed in the Milk House. It was small very cute!

Here is a view of our room looking from the opposite wall.

Here is a better view of the room.

For dinner Sunday night, Kent took me to the restaurant there at the Homestead. We ate out on the patio overlooking the golf course and a small pond. It was so Romantic and the food was YUMMY! I couldn't believe how quiet it was.

After dinner we went for a walk. Kent found these stairs and wanted to see what was at the top. So.....we went followed the stairs to heaven....

At the top was a gorgeous view!

and this hole in the ground that was fenced off. Looking down that hole was water....Kent later told me that people scuba dive, etc in the water. He wanted to go but I said no....

We found the side entrance into the hole. It was very hot and muggy in there. The water is beautiful though. (u can't tell from the pic)

this isn't a very good pic but this is kind of looking up into the hole. I didn't dare walk out onto the floating walk way.

Here are some more beautiful nature pics that Kent took. I love it up there! It was such a great over nighter and was nice to spend some quality time with Kent!

Selling our car....

After a lot of thought and prayer.....we have decided to get rid of our Kia. It's been having a lot of problems lately and it's pretty expensive to fix. I've placed an ad on KSL to see what I can get for it but wanted to post on here in case any of my family or friends know of anybody that want a fixer upper or wants the car for parts. Here are the stats and some pics:

- 2003 Kia Spectra- basic sedan model
- about 104,000 miles
- has 1 brand new tire and the other 3 are fairly new--within 2 years
- new battery --within the last year
- Front wheel Drive
- 1.3L/ 4 cyl engine
- Cracked windshield
- Struts need to be replaced (especially the rear ones)
- a belt needs to be replaced (not sure which one but I think it's the Alternator)
- something is wrong with the transmission....whoever buys it will probably have to have it towed...it won't go very far.
- Interior - I have 3 boys so the back seat upholstery is hashed. It needs to either be cleaned real good or replaced.
- Exterior - there are scratches in the paint and a dent in the drivers side front fender. There are also a few rust spots.

We are asking $500 or best offer OBO so if anybody out there knows of somebody who might be interested.....send them my way.

Thanks!!
