Pipe Band Concert

My dad got us tickets to go see a Pipe Band Concert in Layton last night. It was really good to be together as a family. The players were very talented and it was very enjoyable. The 1st counselor in the Bishopric in my dad's ward played the drums. I recorded a few clips of some of my favorite numbers.

During Intermission the kids had fun rolling down the hill. Benjamin even rolled down a time or two but I didn't catch that one. I did get him watching at the top of the hill though.

Cameron 1st day of Preschool

Last week we found out that Cameron qualified to get into the free preschool by our house. He goes for 2 1/2 hours a day, 5 days a week. He was so excited to go to the big boy school. He had a really good day. I was sad to see him and Austin walking into the school. Can't believe they are growing up so fast. I was really nervous about him riding home on the bus. I had to work so I couldn't be home to make sure he got off. The bus ended up being really late so I was hysterical for about an hour while my neighbor (who gets him off the bus) was looking for him. He got home safely and all is well. Here are a few pictures I took this morning before school.

It was so cute. They were holding hands. I still wanted to cry though.

Austin's 1st day of 2nd grade

Austin has been bugging me for almost a month now for school to start. He has been so excited. We went and met his teacher, Miss LeeMaster, last Friday. He got to tour his new classroom and get some free school stuff. He had a really good first day and made some new friends as well as saw some of his old friends from last year. I'm really excited to see his progression this year. Cameron might be starting preschool this next week so pictures and more blogging are to come....

Soccer Cuties!!

Austin and Cameron both started soccer today. Neither of them have played before. They had a lot of fun. It was quite hilarious at times watching them but they did pretty good. They need some work on not being afraid of the ball and actually kicking it in the right direction. :) It will come with time and practice though. Here are a few shots I got of them playing. Grandma Haws and Grandma & Grandpa Green were great cheerleaders and a great help. Thanks guys!!

Cameron talking to his fellow team mates!

Cameron during half time eating his healthy snack. He bagged the carrots and went for the string cheese!
Austin in the blue shirt watching the goal.

Austin before his game started.

Can't forget Ben. He made friends with this lady and her dog. There were several times when he would yell at the teams playing and then try to go out in the field. I guess to show them how to play....

Our Weeks Adventures

This past week has been somewhat of a busy one. Kent finally got home last Tuesday from being out on the road for 10 days. A little frustrating but he got to be home for our Anniversary on the 6th. For our anniversary we took the kids to the Planet Aquarium in Sandy. It was a lot of fun and the kids really enjoyed it. After that, Kent took us all to Olive Garden. My favorite restuarant. It was so yummy!!

Benjamin wouldn't behave in the presentation show we went to so I went out with him and he played with his stroller. The other boys loved seeing the real live birds and other forest animals.

Kent was supposed to leave again on Saturday but his work called and canceled his load. AARRGGHH! I'm so not happy with his job right now. Oh Well. The good part about it is, his family had a four-wheeling trip planned for Saturday. He was able to go and we were all able to enjoy the day. The kids absolutely loved it! Even Ben! Surprise, Surprise. He even rode on a 4 wheeler with Kent for over half of the trip. He was so good natured. We went up by Strawberry Reservoir and went on a trail (can't remember the name of it, I think it was called "Chicken Creek" or something) It was so beautiful being out in nature. We got to see things you normally don't see from the road. It was awesome. (I've never been 4 wheeling before). I even got to drive the 4 wheeler which was scary sometimes but a great experience. When we got ready to leave, the boys were mad and wanted to go again. So cute! Here is a picture of most of us piled into my father in laws truck (half way up the trail) to go eat and have a bathroom break.

That is so FUNNY!!

Benjamin has the cutest laugh. Austin is the only one that can get him to laugh like this without tickling him. Benjamin was trying to hand Austin his last piece of Chicken Nugget and Austin kept ducking. Benjamin went into histarics! It was hilarious. Here's the video I caught.

Beautiful Samantha

Sorry for posting twice. I got to babysit my nieces and nephew last night. They are so cute. Samantha is about 9 weeks old and starting to interact. I caught some cute video of her talking to the bouncer lights and a cute picture.

Samantha with a little smile on her face. She likes the lights on the bouncer.
