Memorial Weekend

Memorial Weekend in Pocatello, ID was a lot of fun this year! It was full of visiting deceased loved ones, lots of swimming, Pocatello zoo, and family fun time playing games and visiting. I really look forward to this yearly tradition. Many of my dearest childhood memories took place on Memorial weekend. I'm happy to continue that tradition with my kids.

We left early Saturday morning to visit the graves in UT. I didn't get pictures of all of them but our last grave was to David's......

I honestly don't remember what time we got to the hotel but shortly after getting checked in we all went swimming.....

I love the color of the water!

mom didn't go swimming this time so I had to get a picture of her watching....

The next couple of pictures are of my kids playing in our hotel room Saturday night...

On Sunday after breakfast we decided to play some games in my parents hotel room. This is a pic of cute baby Kelvin enjoying his fists.

After a couple of hours of playing games we all headed to get some lunch and to Pocatello zoo.

I have never seen a live male turkey (Tom). I thought he was so pretty!

Austin & Jessica searching for fossils...

A very hungry coyote...

Some of the older kids at the zoo....bison in background...

This exhibit was actually closed. The baby red fox was injured so the zoo keepers brought it over for us to look at.

We found a place we could all take some family pictures....This is a great one of my mom & dad!

Baby Kelvin's head is in the bottom of the pic. I accidentally cut him out. :-(

This was a black bear that was trying to sleep. I caught him as he was yawning. VERY BIG MOUTH!

This grizzly was sound asleep until we woke him up. He decided to see what the commotion was about. What big CLAWS you have.....

I didn't know porcupines knew how to climb trees. He looks so comfortable!

Since I cut this cutie out of the family pic...Had to snap another one of him.

The petting zoo....Kent and Ben petting the donkey.

Austin trying to make friends with a very mean cow!

playing on the playground...

After the zoo we went to Pocatello cemetary. I caught this adorable picture of Mark and his little girl Sydney.

After we got back to the hotel, Kent decided to take our boys swimming again.

We left before the rest of the family. We left EARLY Monday morning so we could make it to Grantsville, UT to see Kent's dads grave....Here is a pic of Kent and his mom and the boys in front of his grave.
