Austin had an Egg Drop at his school today. I've never had to do one so coming up with something to protect a raw egg was a little new to me. We came up with something, finally. We wrapped the egg in a diaper....put it into a diaper wipes container and the filled the container with quilt batting. We then taped the container shut. I wasn't sure if it would work but sure enough.....when Austin's egg was thrown off the roof of the school and then when the package was opened to reveal the outcome....It was unscathed. Very exciting. I felt like a little second grader for a minute there. Here are a few pics of Austin at the event. I did not get a pic of the egg however.....

Congratulations! If you would have asked my advice, I would have let you know what worked with all 5 of my kids. Wrap it in popped popcorn. It survived everytime! However, it sounds like you did just fine on your own. Have a Happy Easter.
